It is well known that plants and creative work are both beneficial for the mind. Combine the two by attending a botanical drawing and painting class at Knuston Hall in Northamptonshire. Weekend courses run from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon and are for beginners and improvers.
Each student paints his or her own choice of flower or other plant material and works at his or her own pace with individual tuition.
There is a course arranged for 1st to 3rd February 2019 and another for 28th to 30th June 2019.
Anyone who lives locally can attend as a day pupil. Those attending as residents have single or twin rooms with ensuite facilities. Food is excellent and staff are friendly and helpful.
If you have a partner or friend who would also like to come to Knuston but who does not want to learn botanical painting, there are other courses running that weekend. For example, Nick Hammond will be running a weekend about Van Gogh and the films made about his life.
